What Bench can reach

Which files and applications it touches, and how it asks.

Nothing happens on your machine without you saying yes

Bench can reach the files and applications you point it at. Reading, writing, running a command, driving Illustrator or Rhino, taking a screenshot — each of those asks you first, and you answer once, for this task, or always.

  • Files

The ones you open or point it at, and the folders it writes results into.

  • Your design software

Illustrator and Rhino today, driven step by step in the file you will hand over.

  • The screen

It looks at what it made to check the work; a screenshot is one of the things it asks for.

  • Nothing else

It does not browse your machine. What it has not been pointed at, it does not see.

Domande

Permission

Can I take a permission back?

Yes. An "always" can be withdrawn in Settings, and any single step can be refused when it asks.

Posso fermarlo a metà compito?

Yes. A running job can be interrupted, and nothing half-written is left behind that it does not tell you about.

Il mio lavoro lascia la macchina?

Files stay where they are. What you bring into a chat is kept with your account so the collection carries on.
